Thunder and Lightning

Yup, a little thunder and lightning today. It did not last long though, kind of disappointing.

I'm pretty much finished with the niche site and am now looking for the right domain name. The niche site will be a sub-domain, so I can have multiple sites under a common domain name related to the larger topic.

Tomorrow, I'll try and register a domain for it, possibly getting the site up live. We'll see how the day goes since I'm going to start packing for the trip.

One thing I forgot to mention, a couple days ago marked the one month mark for leaving my other job. I can't believe it has only been a month! I have learned a lot in this past month. I've done stuff I've never done before and will keep and use that knowledge. I have not made money, yet! But this niche site and some other ideas hopefully will start bringing it in.

Have a great night everyone!

Dave

Good luck with the niche site. They can work, but take a lot of effort getting the word out about them. We now have 20 niche sites up and the amount they produce varies widely. Some I wasn't sure about are doing quite well while others I had a lot of confidence aren't. Then again I've also been right on a few.

We've found that shooting for $50 a month per niche site is a good and attainable goal with quite a bit of effort put in to promote them.

Good luck and am looking forward to seeing the final result.

Good luck! I've not gotten to the $50/month yet, but I'm definitely looking forward to that day when I do. It's neat. I've seen my traffic grow slow and steadily, kind of like an investment.
